You are a wanderer and you have no memories of your previous life. However wherever you go people welcome you with stories, food and shelter.

They are expecting you to help them, because doing so is the key to remembering your forgotten homeland. If you choose to not pursue their request, their desire will become cursed and forever lost.

You'll be faced with cruel choices; Marchebranche (Walkingstick) is not about winning. It is about telling tragic stories in a medieval ever-changing world, where the forest lays claim to everything, and where its creatures have gone mad, where nature and animals are merging with humans, and fears materialise into reality...

This game has a strong emphasis on collaborative storytelling, and all players are encouraged to create major parts of the story during play. The entire group rolls the dice together as one and from there decide the outcomes of dramatic moments.
